All About CLAMP
The Circle Leadership and Mentorship Program (CLAMP) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit with a burning desire to improve the lives of youth and young adults in the city of Detroit. Our goal is straightforward yet profound: to help young people improve their mental health, physical health, and academic and professional prospects through a variety of services.

Our Aim
We at CLAMP envision a Detroit where every young person, no matter their background or circumstances, has access to the support systems they need to succeed in life. We dream that they will grow to be proud Detroiters who contribute back to their neighborhoods. We hope to develop a generation of leaders who are resilient, confident, and empowered to make a good impact in their communities and beyond by investing in their brains, bodies, and aspirations.
Our Methods
Our youth empowerment strategy is built on three pillars:
Mental Health, Emotion Understanding and Regulation and Social Skills
We understand the critical role that a young person's mental health plays in his or her entire growth and development. Our committed staff of qualified specialists and caring mentors provide a secure environment in which young people may open up, develop healthy coping mechanisms, and strengthen their emotional fortitude. Our goal is to build a society where people feel comfortable talking about their mental health issues through workshops, therapy, and peer support networks.
Physical Well Being
Wellness in all aspects of life begins with a sound body. We motivate our young people to adopt a physically healthy way of life by providing them with exciting opportunities, workout programs that have been proving to improve mental and physical health, and sound dietary advice. They will be equipped to live full, healthy lives because of the values we inculcate in them and the sense of community we promote.
College and Career Preparation
Getting ready for college and a career: learning is the key to opening doors. We offer a wide range of services to assist our young people as they pursue further education and rewarding professions. We give them the tools they need to realize their potential by assisting them with SAT/ACT study materials, college applications, scholarship seminars, internship opportunities, workshops regarding the most lucrative trades, FAFSA application explanation and information regarding how to utilize strengths and artistic endeavors to further career skills.
